Are you getting misaligned and poor quality prints in your
production? A possible reason may be your
pallets are not leveled on your screen printing press. One of the crucial parts
of the printing process is leveled screen printing pallets. If they are not
leveled, the registration can’t be held by the press. That eventually results
in misaligned and poor quality prints. Sometimes, the cause of poor quality is
hard to find, in that case, you have to
check for screen printing
equipment repair. But in this
blog we have mentioned the reasons and solution of leveling the pallet in
screen printing press.
·
Damaging/bending pallets
·
Bumping/knocking into pallets
·
Too much squeegee pressure
Follow these steps to
get leveled pallets for high-quality
printing:
1.
Twist the off-contact adjustment in upwards
direction, and then back four clicks.
2.
Put in a flood bar into Head 1. Rise the flood
bar in the upward direction by turning
the pressure adjustment. Once it’s all done, turn the pressure adjustment down
four full turns.
3.
Turn off
the air to the machine if it’s an air-filled head. Remove both the air tubes
for Head 1 from the solenoid valve of the stroke cylinder. After that, where
was the tubing, install plugs into the valve
4.
Turn on
the air and pull the carousel to the upward direction.
5.
The spacing between the pallet and flood bar in
all directions should be the thickness of a quarter. Check the spacing between them
through the full stroke of the print carriage and make sure the spacing is
uniform.
It’s vital that the pallets are level on your screen printing machine
for quality prints! If above steps don't
work then you have to call for screen printing equipment repair to get the fixing done!
